Day 4…for WebNewbie Goes Online

Well howdy! I didn’t update the post from yesterday, it got late and I’d had enough!

So far I’ve invested about 2.5 hrs each day working over the last 4 days to get things going for a total of 10 hrs. I’ve got an automated website, email auto responder, blog, payment systems ALL UP AND RUNNING and a whole lot of education in that time.

I have also invested about 3 hrs in online training for the stuff I just mentioned  above to get me to the point of “I almost get it–but I’ve got enough to get started”. My coach is doing his best to keep up with my “why, why, why” and I’m taking notes to refine, define, clarify, simplify the process for the people I start to coach. I hate to say it but every system can be improved and simplified and I’m doing it for my sake and yours. I’m making him work harder to simplify it for me so I can simplify it for you.

Everything is ready to go except for a little personal tweaking on the existing emails in the autoresponder system, WAY better than having to write the whole series. I’m putting the actual activation on hold til Monday.
It may be ready but I’m not, I’ve got some family stuff this weekend so I’m off to do that. If I get a chance to do a little on Sunday I might, otherwise Monday it is back at it and begin actually running the system, begin generating leads and learning more about the process so I can maximize it.

So I’m slowing the pace til then, but I’m pleased with the progress. I’ve gotten more actually done in the last 4 days than I have in the last 9 months poking around on my own. :-)

Day 3…for WebNewbie Goes Online

Well poke, poke, poking along. My eyes are a wee bit blurry from screen reading and my mind is needing a break from all the option/choices/variables. Thank-you to my coach to talk to live on the phone and lay out the step-by-step big picture bits for me (while talking me though the details) so I can keep an idea of what’s all happening and why. That’s the trouble with great support it’s work to keep up (but it moves at the pace I set) BUT it means results a lot faster, while getting the learning curve over a lot faster!

Sites are almost done and time delays occurred (mine). Luckily it’s only hours compared to the months of humming and hawing I did while waiting and waffling about what to do (I wish I’d started sooner! :-) ). My basic sites will be operational tonight if all goes well.

Kinda cool. Get it all up and running and then figure out how it works while I start making money! Can you say – SYSTEMATIZE and COACHIFY!

I’ll update this entry later today…..

Day 2…for WebNewbie Goes Online

Well I signed up for three web marketing services last night and started reviewing their online educational material to try and figure them out. The joy of being a newbie!

I’m trying to get clear on the key elements and steps of the whole process and then there is the technical process for each step, learning to use the web marketing services. After all the research I’ve done till now I have good idea of which service providers offer real value and are recognized in the industry as being good investments. Join my email list if you want the list of marketing services I’ve decided to use and the simplified steps I’ve identified for myself which you may find helpful (after hundreds of hours of research!).

Send your email address to get my quick list of steps and marketing services:

I was on a live webinar training this morning for an hour. It was worthwhile and all the archived webinars seem to be very valuable. Watching over someone’s shoulder is so much easier than trying to follow written instructions often. Many marketing services offer good web training and live phone support (two signs of a top service).

I figure it will take me a week to get the basics of auto responders, opt-in pages, basic page sales design and list building. I’ve seen enough of them while web-surfing but now have to figure how to use them for me. With my live personal coach and live customer service from all the marketing services I’m feeling pretty confident (I’m not all alone trying to do it by myself!).

The final step is the product or service to actually sell. There is one I know of right now and a few more in mind. Refining and defining those ideas will happen over time. For now I’ll focus on the one I know of for sure (beside all the sales and steps are pre-done for me and I just have to do a little tweaking to make more personal from me, can you say simple start-up?). By using a pre-set product and sales process I can focus n learning how everything works to then branch out into other product/service web promotions. Step by step!

Later today I have another call with my coach to finalize the setting up of my site and sales process with me (he offered to do it all for me but I wanted to go through the process and see how it all worked, can you say easy?). The site should be live by tomorrow….. til then :-)

P.S. Remember if you want my quick list of steps and marketing services I use:
Email me at: info”at”UltimateBusinessFreedom.com
(replace the “at” with @ helps eliminate me getting spammed!)
Use the subject line: “UltimateBusinessFreedom blog quick list”

This “quick list” will expand and clarify as I move through this process so you’ll receive an email confirming you want to go on my mailing list and you’ll get updates as I do them. Check your email and click on the confirm link (you might have to also check your email “junk mail folder” for the first one and add my domain to your address book so further emails from me get to you!)

Finally! It begins…Web Newbie Goes For it!

Well it’s taken me over 11 months of web cruising, email-marketing-list-joining, special ONE-TIME-OFFER sales pitches and I finally….got started. I spent hundreds of hours researching, reading and a few hundred dollars on stuff (resell rights products, ebooks etc.)

This blog will follow my journey to making it on the web (meaning making some real money!). We’ll see how much and I’ll keep you posted.

I’ve been a business owner for all my adult life and have been interested but not committed to moving to the web. One of the businesses I do for fun, and a little income, is business start-up coaching.

What was the big hold up for me in getting on the web considering my experience? Hey the web’s different, new and I thought I could do it on my own! I shoulda known better…I coach people who struggle to get a regular business going and the main reason they struggle is they try and do it alone! Duh! Having a coach makes any process faster, easier, more fun and profitable a whole lot sooner everywhere else, why not here?

So I finally got a coach! Turns out anyone can get all the elements of a web business AND a personal coach for next to nothing (in business terms) AND with the money-back-guarantee… NO-RISK.

STILL it took me 2 months after the above offer to jump in! I think it was because it was summer…ya that’s it! I spent an hour on the phone with my coach tonight and we’re booked for an hour tomorrow to have my 1st site up and running. I then will study the readily available training info and get coached on the phone through the process of getting traffic to the site and converting to sales.

Sounds good, let’s play. I’ve got a 30 day committed window of time to learn, apply and create results before I stop and review. Compared to any other business I’ve seen that’s a crazy short time. I now expect to recoup my investment and have a self supporting and profitable business in under 45 days. Not bad. We’ll see and so will you, if you stay tuned.
check my site out tomorrow evening Sept. 21/07 UltimateBusinessFreedom.com

PS This is my first blog and blog post!
